One Theme, Three Groups

At Jane's Bond, children discover the world through themes that truly come to life. We decorate the spaces, find matching books and toys, and go on outings to a flower-picking meadow, a vegetable garden, or the zoo. Every theme is experienced by all groups together, but each child at their own level and with their own challenge. That way, learning never feels like learning.

The Reggio Emilia Principle

We work according to the Reggio Emilia principle, where the child sets the direction and their own curiosity is the starting point. Our spaces are furnished with natural materials such as wood, clay, and objects found in nature. Playing outside is not an extra — it is a core value, rain or shine. The Four-Eyes Principle

A Safe Environment for Your Child

The four-eyes principle means that during childcare, there is always someone who can observe or listen in on the caregiver. This is ensured either by having another adult physically present, or by making the caregiver visible or audible through windows, an open door, or a camera.

This protects both the child and the employee: it prevents unwanted behaviour and creates a safe, transparent working culture.

Since 2013, the four-eyes principle has been legally required in the Netherlands for all registered childcare facilities, under the Childcare Act (Wet kinderopvang).
